What ingredients are effective in maintaining intestinal health?

Author: GSHWORLD Release time: 2024-05-20 Column: Product News

The intestine is the largest immune organ of the human body. The health of the intestine largely determines the body's immune ability. Maintaining intestinal health is the most important link in health management.

Several studies have provided insights into the importance of gut health, with some ingredients showing potential in gut-related diseases, including protecting the gut barrier and modulating the gut microbiota.

1. PQQ

Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ) is not only an antioxidant, but also a vitamin-like cofactor that plays an important role in health and disease prevention.

PQQ

PQQ is related to mitochondrial production, reproduction, growth and aging. Studies have proven that PQQ increases the mRNA expression levels of tight link proteins and improves jejunal barrier function. In animal studies, the barrier function of offspring after supplementing PQQ was improved.

2. NMN

Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) is the precursor of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) and can improve various age-related diseases by increasing NAD+ levels.

NMN

Researchers studied the potential effects of NMN on the intestinal barrier and gut microbiota. In animal studies, mice treated with NMN showed improved morphology of the inflamed intestine, slight restoration of colon length, improved barrier function, and increased serum The expression of pro-inflammatory factors in MMN was reduced, and experiments have shown that the intestinal microbiota may be modulated by NMN treatment.

3. SAMe

S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) is an important physiologically active substance that widely exists in animals, plants and microorganisms, and is an important intermediate metabolite.

SAMe

The researchers explored the protective effect of SAM on chemotherapy-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction and intestinal microbial dysbiosis, demonstrating that SAM protects barrier function by inhibiting the activation of the p38 MAPK/p65 NF-κB/MLCK/MLC signaling pathway.

These studies discuss the importance of gut microbiota balance to health and how therapeutic modulation of the gut microbiota can improve intestinal disease.
