NMN is the abbreviation of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, which belongs to the derivatives of vitamin B family.

In 2014, a study published in "PLOS One" showed that a team led by Junichi Sato of Rutgers School of Medicine in New Jersey found that NMN could protect the mouse heart from ischemia-reperfusion injury.

In 2016, Japan's Keio University and Washington University jointly conducted a human clinical trial of NMN to discuss the safety of NMN as a functional food, and no adverse reactions were found.

Research published in Cell in March 2018 found that after increasing NAD+, the number and density of capillaries in old and young mice were almost the same, and the endurance of old mice increased by 80%.

Still in March 2018, Sinclair's team found again that NMN supplementation can increase the NAD+ content in muscles, thereby reversing the aging and atrophy of muscles.

In February 2019, another study published in "Impact Factor" showed that NMN supplementation can activate aging muscle stem cells and improve the regenerative ability of aged skeletal muscle.
