In what areas can glutathione be used?

 

Glutathione is an active tripeptide with important physiological functions. It is formed by the condensation of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine through peptide bonds. Its chemical name is γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteine. Aminoacyl-glycine. In the 1930s, chemically synthesized glutathione began to appear.

Glutathione is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 195°C. It is soluble in water, dilute alcohol, liquid ammonia and dimethylformamide, but insoluble in alcohol, ether and acetone. Glutathione solids are relatively stable, while aqueous solutions are easily oxidized in the air.

1. Application of glutathione in food

2. Application of glutathione in cosmetics

(1)Glutathione has broad-spectrum antioxidant capacity and can be used in anti-aging skin care products;

(2)It has the effect of whitening the skin, inhibiting skin browning, and effectively conditioning and moisturizing the skin;

(3)The sulfhydryl group of glutathione can form a cross-linking bond with the cysteine sulfhydryl group in hair. It is often used in hair perming agents with cationic polymers such as JR400, and the hair tissue is less damaged.

3. Application of glutathione in the fields of biofertilizer and feed additives

(1)Glutathione promotes the growth and development of seafood fish by increasing the activity of digestive enzymes in fish, promoting the secretion of growth hormone and improving protein synthesis.

(2)Glutathione has various biological functions such as scavenging free radicals and detoxifying, promoting amino acid transport, protecting gastrointestinal mucosa, improving immune function, participating in protein synthesis and degradation, regulating genes, replication and transcription, and regulating cell growth. 4. Application of glutathione in the field of plant growth
